Building intelligence: How smart data can drive decision making

Rolling digitalisation of the built environment is progressively transforming all parts of the sector, from property and real estate, via design and engineering, through to construction and installation on site.

We live in an increasingly sensor-rich world of smart buildings.According to research by Statista into smart buildings across the EU, the total number of IoT active connections was estimated to be just 5.08 million in 2016, but is forecast to multiply 30 times over within a decade, and is expected to reach 154.06 million by 2025.

As part of our ongoing Elemental Talks programme on Smart Buildings, we have already run sessions on IoT and Automation, How Commercial Buildings Work in a Zero-Carbon Economy, plus the User Experience.

This webinar brings together many of those insights and introduce new perspectives to drill down into how smart technologies and systems can really inform best practice, optimise performance and influence behaviour.

Ultimately, we shall be exploring how building intelligence and smart data can drive decision-making, at all levels; plus, asking what the true cost is of ‘dumb’ buildings.
