The importance of water and energy sustainability in the UK housing stock
The UK Government has unveiled an ambitious retrofit programme that seeks significant improvement to the levels of water use and energy efficiency of the housing stock. Coupled with this, the Energy Saving Trust reports that UK bathroom’s account for the majority of a home’s water demand, as well as a significant proportion of total energy use.
This session will look at how the sector can create solutions to reduce both energy and water use in the UK housing stock and explore how influencing consumer’s behaviour will help to make this a reality. This round table is chaired by Tom Reynolds, CEO at the Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA), and the guest panel will explore the opportunity for the industry to make changes that can help reduce water and energy consumption.
