REHAU brings district heating sessions to elemental
REHAU has announced that it will bring a series of district heating sessions to elemental, the meeting place for advancing innovations in heat, water, energy and air – taking place at ExCel London, November 11-12.
Heat networks will be a key focus at elemental, as they’re an important part of the government’s plan to reduce carbon and cut heating bills in the UK.
There are approximately 17,000 heat networks in the UK, of which 5,500 are district heat networks and 11,500 communal heat networks. While these numbers sound impressive, heat networks still only contribute around 2% of our total heat demand.
REHAU is one of the market leaders in district heating pipework, offering a wide-range of polymer-based solutions, and will be providing technical knowledge and insight to the elemental audience. Over recent years, the manufacturer has made great headway in dispelling a number of misconceptions that exist in this area. To that end, they have helped many M&E companies deliver successful district heating projects that will serve as efficient solutions for years to come.
Steve Richmond – Head of Marketing & Technical – Building Solutions said:
“With the growing importance of energy efficiency and sustainability, REHAU see low carbon district heating as one of the best ways to heat our buildings with the benefits it offers.
“We are excited to use elemental as a platform to discuss the future of UK heat networks with architects, mechanical engineers, consultants, installers and other decision makers that will attend the event.”
Michael Costain – Director at elemental added:
“It’s great to add the expertise of REHAU to our extensive content programme at elemental.
“The UK government needs to take serious action to provide clean, inexpensive heat to our homes and businesses.
“District heating could play a huge role in our future energy mix, and I’m looking forward to getting to grips with the subject at elemental.”
elemental is the meeting place for advancing innovations in heat, water, energy and air. The exhibition looks at the technologies – both current and in development – that provide heat, manage water, control air flow and energise our buildings.
